Event Type

One of our new series of round table conversations with abuse survivors and allies.

What happens to our beliefs when they are seen through a trauma lens? Is there a survivor-sensitive spirituality? What does faith bring to our response to abuse, and how does trauma shape our experience of faith?

Our first conversation is inspired by a survivor-sensitive exploration of Redemptive Justice from a biblical perspective, written by David and Sue Atkinson. We’ll explore what kind of justice survivors need and deserve and how the church and faith communities could be better at providing it. You can download the booklet free here and we ask you to read it before you come if you can.

This event is for any survivor of survivor-ally interested in exploring what Redemptive Justice might look like for survivors and the faith bodies and institutions they engage with. Everyone from all faiths and none is welcome.

Tickets are free; we invite you to donate to Survivors Voices to enable us to keep supporting survivors. You can donate via the Paypal and Crowdfunder links on this website.
