How women talk about their experiences of mental health

Led by Eleni Panayiotou, a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire, this study seeks to explore how women talk about their experiences of mental health.

Who Can Take Part?

You are warmly invited to participate if you:

  • Identify as a woman or female
  • Are aged 18-35
  • Have been diagnosed with ‘Borderline Personality Disorder’ or ‘Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder’ (even if you disagree with this diagnosis or prefer another instead)
  • Have experienced sexual abuse before age of 18

What’s Involved?

  • A questionnaire to collect details about your demographics
  • A 1.5 hour interview with Eleni

Interviews can take place online or in person (at the University of Hertfordshire or another convenient location). Whichever feels most comfortable.

You will not be asked questions directly about the childhood sexual abuse and will not have to share details that you feel uncomfortable sharing at any point.
