Changemakers

Changemakers is the name we have adopted for anyone who wants to be part of our community of survivor activists, changing society’s response to abuse and trauma.

Being a Changemaker is for you if you are ready to use your experience to support research, education and activism work. This can be as simple as responding to email requests from us for comments on our reports and presentations. It could be taking part in research as a participant or peer researcher. Or it could be joining our team delivering training or campaigning. Maybe you are already a survivor activist, looking for a community of peers for support and collaboration?

We will also invite you to Changemaker Community meetings, to co-produce our activism work and the priorities of our organisation.

After a successful pilot in 2019, we have opened the Changemakers Community to any survivor activists who wish to join us. We are also happy to hear from organisations looking for survivor involvement who want to work with our fantastic Changemaker team.

You can download more information about how the community works here. Before you join, please also read our safety guidelines .

If you have read about being a Changemaker and are happy with the safe practice guidelines, and want to get involved, please register using the form below. We’ll be in touch for a chat about what you’re interested in and add you to our mailing list for Changemaker opportunities.
