Survivors’ Voices Researcher Community is a welcoming and supportive space for people with lived experience of abuse who are involved in, interested in, or considering research.
Whether you are an experienced researcher, a student, an independent researcher, a lived-experience advisor, or simply thinking about getting involved in research, you are welcome here. You do not need to publicly identify as a survivor to be part of this community.
In our Researcher Community we use Survivors Voices peer support principles to create a mutually supportive space where Survivors working in research can share experiences, support one another and together develop better, more Survivor-sensitive ways of working.
We share survivor-led guidance, resources and learning to help make research safer, more inclusive and meaningful — whether survivors are leading research, working alongside researchers, advising on projects or taking part as participants.
Our resources grow from the knowledge, experiences and conversations of survivors within the community, and are continually developed and updated as we learn together.

Changemakers is about creating a community of Survivor Activists whose experiences, knowledge and collective voice can help make meaningful change.
This is a community of practice where people with lived experience of abuse and trauma can come together, share their experiences and ideas, support one another, and work collectively to change society’s response to abuse and trauma.
Changemakers help shape the research, education, activism and organisational priorities of Survivors Voices and ensure that lived experience and the voices of actual Survivors remains at the heart of all of our work.
There are many ways to be involved, from sharing your views on our work and contributing to research, through to peer research, delivering training, campaigning and co-producing work. Our Changemaker meetings provide opportunities for Survivors to connect, collaborate and help decide what we focus on and how we work.

Our Survivor Writers Community is a welcoming and supportive space for Survivors of abuse and trauma who want to explore, develop or share their writing.
Whether you are writing for your own healing, exploring creative writing for the first time, developing a poem, blog or memoir, or are an experienced or published writer, you are welcome here.
Our Writing Community brings Survivors together to find and develop their voices, hear one another’s stories, and use creative writing and storytelling as powerful tools for healing, connection and change. It also provides opportunities for survivors to develop and share their work more widely.
