Record your oral history and help us to find out about the different ways survivors have understood trauma and found ways of living with the impact of child sexual abuse.
Survivors’ voices are rarely found in the historical records. Recording how you have lived with the impact of child sexual abuse will create a better understanding of past experiences and help shape current services to meet victim-survivor needs.
The team at Birkbeck will recognise, value and preserve your experiences and confidential peer support will be available through Survivors Voices.
Who can participate?
Adults with lived experience of any form of child sexual abuse living in Ireland, England, Scotland or Wales can take part.
How do I take part?
Contact us for an informal background conversation. If you decide to proceed, we will plan how you want to tell your life history with you and talk to you about what you want to share. Then we will record your oral history at your home, a venue of your choice or online.

Email recovery-histories@bbk.ac.uk or call on 020 3926 3679/ 020 3926 2813 to get involved. You can also find out more on the Birkbeck website.
